LAML basics

LAML is a set of libraries that makes HTML and XML available in Scheme

Main characteristics
- Provides mirrors in Scheme of XML languages via DTDs
  - A systematic representation of XML in Scheme
- Comprehensive validation at document generation time
  - Document composition and attributes
  - Based on automatically generated finite state automata
- Internal syntax tree representation of documents (ASTs)
- Works well on document fragments which are represented as nested lists
- Integrated with Emacs

LAML is intended for web autoring and programming

Intended to work with most Scheme systems
