INTRODUCTION
Aalborg University is happy to host the Fourth Danish HCI Research Symposium.
The aim of the symposium is to stimulate interactions among HCI researchers
from academia as well as industry through a mix of oral presentations,
discussions of posters, and keynote presentations. The focus of the symposium
is on HCI research, e.g. usability work; novel interfaces; web design; affective
computing; psychological models; computing in music, creative arts, design,
and architecture; design of input devices; support of collaborative work;
e-government; speech input; information navigation; mobile devices; learnware;
visualization; and home computing. However, reflections on and challenges
of HCI work based on industrial experiences are highly welcomed as well.

SYMPOSIUM PARTICIPATION
To participate in the symposium you will need to submit a short paper
describing recent research or industrial experience with HCI work. The
submitted papers will be reviewed by the organizers to ensure that they
are within the broad area of human-computer interaction (HCI).
INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS
Papers are due October the 18th. They should be submitted in PDF-format,
or alternatively Word or RTF format, to

. Participants will be notified on October 29th about acceptance and presentation
form. Papers should be two to four pages in length and they should be formatted
according to the
ACM template for proceedings
.
All papers will be in English. Presentations and discussions at the symposium will mostly be in Danish, but English can also be used.
The registration fee for the symposium is DKK 500. This includes a copy of the proceedings, refreshments, lunch and dinner.
PAYMENT
The symposium fee is DKK 500 per person and is paid by transferring this
amount to Spar Nord Bank A/S, Hadsundvej 20, 9000

October 18: Submission deadline for papers.
October 29: Notification of acceptance and presentation form.
November 8: Deadline for symposium registration and payment.
November 16: Symposium at Aalborg University.
