Abstract: The aim of this project was to study how distributed learner modelling can benefit from semantic web technologies. Heterogeneity of personalisation techniques and their needs raised a question whether it is possible to agree on one common data model for user profiles, which supports these techniques. We try to describe an approach where a learner model can be distributed and can be based on several standards. The profiles can rather reflects the needs of specific personalisation technique. The personalisation techniques can be provided as personalisation services in P2P learning network. RDF and RDFS as key tools of semantic web allow us to handle such situation. We draw an architecture, which can serve a network where this approach can be realized.
